Sustainable Micro-Mobility High Impact Projects
This project harnesses data-driven, computational methodologies to extract valuable insights within micro-mobility systems, with a specific focus on Barcelona’s bike-sharing system, Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM). The first objective is to use advanced artificial intelligence techniques to identify abnormal demands in the Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM) stations of the Barcelona city that could be associated with unexpected events in the neighbourhood. The second objective focuses on creating a system capable of forecasting the availability of electric bicycles and their corresponding battery levels, shedding light on electric bike mobility patterns. The third objective aims to develop an artificial intelligence system for predicting the lifetime cycle of bike components to streamline maintenance procedures, ensuring seamless operations and optimal user experiences. And finally, the fourth objective is to develop a proof of concept for a Mobility Data Space platform that aggregates mobility-related data from Barcelona.
Tourism High Impact Projects
[Available in Catalan]
Results of the main indicators of bank transactions for all tourism brands in Catalonia. Expenditure indicators, number of visits and flows between destinations are included, calculated from bank transactions. The results are segmented by overnight visitors, excursionists, consumed business category, nights of stay, repeat visits and origin of the consumer.
Results of the main indicators of online surveys realised to all the tourist brands of Catalonia. Indicators of valuations, sentiment, frequency of key phrases, frequency of detected entities and opinion by concept are included. Results segmented by product category (restaurants, hotels, museums, monuments, etc.), user origin, type of user (single, couple, family, etc.) and tourist destination.
Results of clustering profiles of visitors to Catalonia were detected from bank transaction data. The procedure is carried out through clustering techniques on the behaviour of calculated trips.
Project report where the needs, objectives, scope, organization of the work carried out, and a summary of the results achieved in each project phases. A list of conclusions, lessons learned and recommendations for future projects in this area is also included.
Mobility High Impact Projects
This project has contributed to the digital transformation of smart mobility, leveraging the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data analytics to achieve two specific objectives with a direct impact on society. The first objective aimed to enhance road safety and reduce the number of accidents by detecting hazardous situations involving both vehicles and pedestrians in urban and interurban scenarios. The second objective focused on the analysis of traffic flows, enabling the identification of traffic congestions and other related situations, which can lead to efficient traffic management policies.
