Governance

CIDAI is a collaborative initiative involving Catalan governments, businesses and technology and innovation centres. Its governance structure consists of an Executive Committee, a Technical Office and an Advisory Board.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is made up of one representative from each CIDAI partner organisation and is chaired by the representative of the Government of Catalonia. Its role is to ensure that CIDAI’s tasks are accomplished in keeping with its mission and values.

Technical Office

CIDAI’s Technical Office (TO) is the driving force behind CIDAI’s activities and ensures compliance with the annual action plan. The TO is run by Eurecat.

Advisory Board

It is a group of international experts made up of professionals with relevant experience in AI to assess the CIDAI’s strategy and recommend new areas of action.

Catalonia AI Strategy 2030

The Catalonia AI Strategy 2030, promoted by the Government of Catalonia, is presented as a response to the challenge of deploying artificial intelligence in Catalonia by placing technology at the service of social well-being and boosting the competitiveness of the country’s economy.

Through an analysis of the Catalan ecosystem and different global scenarios, the Catalonia AI Strategy 2030 brings together nearly one hundred actions based on transparency, fairness, security, and territorial equity, with the aim of strengthening public–private competitiveness.

CIDAI is part of the Catalonia AI Strategy 2030, focused on promoting innovation and the business adoption of artificial intelligence.

DIH4CAT

The Digital Innovation Hub of Catalonia, DIH4CAT, is a non-profit regional innovation ecosystem made up of the main players supporting digitalisation in Catalonia. It aims to unlock the technological transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises with a special focus on industrial sectors and technology providers, tech start-ups and public entities.

DIH4CAT is also one of the over 150 European DIHs spread across the regions of all EU member states under the Digital Europe Programme.

DIH4CAT has a nodal structure with each node (7 in total) focusing on a digital technology. CIDAI is the AI ​​node.
