Grup Caixa Enginyers is a cooperative group of credit and financial and insurance services aimed at professionals and companies throughout the state with more than 216,000 members. It collaborates with the Center for Innovation in Data Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (CIDAI) in a pioneering project to strengthen financial security through artificial intelligence. It is the only banking entity integrated into CIDAI, a fact that demonstrates its commitment to innovation and to promoting the Catalan AI ecosystem.
The project aims to complement current fraud prevention systems with an internal model capable of analyzing transactional behavior and member profiles, detecting anomalous patterns that may indicate suspicious operations. This new approach, based on internal data and advanced analysis and modeling techniques, seeks to significantly reduce the risk of fraud and strengthen trust in digital processes.
Throughout the initiative, all the phases necessary to develop a robust and scalable system have been addressed: from the preparation of a secure environment and the analysis of data sources, to algorithmic design, the creation of user profiles, preprocessing and the definition of evaluation methodologies. The project culminates with the construction of a prediction model, its validation and the development of a microservice designed to facilitate its deployment in production environments.
