The intersection between quantum computing and artificial intelligence has led to Quantum Machine Learning (QML), a promising scientific area with the potential to completely transform our ability to process and analyse data.

In this Masterclass we will explore the historical origins of quantum computing, picking out key milestones such as Shor’s algorithm and the development of the first quantum computers.

We will then review the current state of the art of QML, unpacking recent developments, key technical challenges and current practical use cases. Finally, we will look into the future to see how quantum machine learning could be a game changer in sectors such as medicine, logistics, finance and many others.

Programa

  • Short history of quantum computing
