The White paper on Artificial Intelligence applied to the Cultural Industry sector and based on Experience (ICbE) presents some reflections on the adoption of AI-based technologies within the sector in Catalonia, carrying out a detailed analysis of the main challenges detected. The study also identifies a series of trends that, applied in the sector, could provide a response to the identified challenges.

This White Paper also aims to serve as a guide and inspire the various agents operating in the Cultural and Experience-based Industries sector to increase the penetration of data-based and AI solutions between the public sector and companies to contribute to improving the citizen experience, giving a boost to innovation in this area and, consequently, making this technological transformation an important contribution to society and the economic-business fabric of the country.

In order to show the areas of application of AI in the ICbE sector, the main opportunities have been identified, including:

  • Generation of content and experiences.
  • Distribution and consumption of content and experiences.
  • Analysis and extraction of information.
