The logistics sector is today a strategic area for the economy and business competitiveness. In Catalonia, with a weight close to 11% of GDP, it faces a profound transformation marked by the growth of e-commerce, the complexity of supply chains, the demands of sustainability and an increasingly uncertain global context. This scenario highlights the need to evolve towards more efficient, flexible and resilient logistics models.
In this context, data-based technologies and artificial intelligence are becoming a key lever to drive more agile, predictive and connected logistics. AI offers new capabilities to improve planning, optimize transport and the last mile, strengthen operational resilience and move towards more sustainable logistics.
With this objective in mind, CIDAI has produced the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence applied to the Logistics sector in Catalonia, a document that analyses the main challenges, trends and barriers in the sector and identifies opportunities and priority actions to accelerate the adoption of AI. The White Paper has been built on the basis of interviews with experts, collective reflection sessions and rigorous technical analysis.
