AI for Earth Workshop
CIDAI and Microsoft designed and delivered the AI for Earth workshop with the aim of empowering individuals and organisations to develop innovative solutions to monitor, model and ultimately manage the Earth’s natural systems.
The workshop focused on several key areas considered vital for building a sustainable future. In particular, it addressed challenges related to agriculture, with the goal of helping to feed a growing global population; water management, emphasising the conservation and protection of water sources; biodiversity, with initiatives aimed at monitoring and protecting species at risk of extinction; and climate change, exploring ways to reduce its impact through the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

Grants: Increasing access to cloud and AI technologies that will support the environmental work carried out by researchers and organisations.
Technology: Building Machine Learning (ML) tools that support and accelerate the work of environmental scientists.
Data: Hosting and making accessible key environmental and conservation datasets.
